An Introduction to Mindfulness from a Black Woman’s Perspective

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the concept of mindfulness. We will explore the causes of stress and anxiety in our lives and how mindfulness may be used to help manage and cope with daily stress and anxiety in today’s world.

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Define mindfulness: what it is and what it isn’t

  • Experience and gain insight into how you emotionally respond in various situations

  • Incorporate self-care into your lives in ways that feel authentic to you
